A number of extended technology products are available for free. Quark has created a whole series of free XTensions adding various import filters and other features to XPress. Developers sometimes release free products as a gesture of goodwill. Many people also develop Applescripts which they are willing to share with the public. Much of this software is available in the XChange archive.
