Unless otherwise specified by a specific Manufacturer’s Warranty, this product sold by XChange UK may only be returned for refund if: 1) the product(s) has remained unopened, 2) the return is instigated within 30 days from date of invoice, and 3) you have not received the serial numbers and/or installers electronically, by fax, or by any other means. All returns must be pre-approved by XChange UK and customers must first obtain a return-merchandise authorisation number (RMA) from XChange UK. At XChange UK’s sole discretion, XChange UK will, for 30 days after date of invoice, replace the product or refund the purchase price for defective product the customer has purchased from XChange UK. XChange UK is responsible for shipping charges of defective merchandise returned to XChange UK. XChange UK will pay shipping for replacement products sent to the buyer. Returns instigated for any reason other than defective merchandise will be charged a 15% restocking fee.
Because of costs incurred by XChange UK, any amendment or cancellation of any order received at XChangeUK.com may at our sole discretion be subject to a administration fee. A 10% administration fee may be deducted against the item value being credited, and any shipping charges associated with an amended or cancelled order for a physically delivered item will not be refunded. Customer is responsible for ensuring a valid, upgradeable software licence is held prior to the placement of any order for upgrades. In the event we are unable to provide delivery for an order because of no proof of ownership of an upgradeable version, a refund less 10% and any shipping charges will be made.
Returned Payments – Cheques, Credit Cards and Direct Debit
Purchases will appear on your credit/debit card statement as “XChange UK”. If you have a question or concern in regard to any purchase, we request that you first contact XChange to handle any issues related to your purchase. In the event that you file a chargeback on a charge related to a valid purchase, you agree to reimburse us for any costs incurred in researching and responding to such chargeback, including without limitation, our actual costs paid to the credit card processor or our banks, and the reasonable value of the time of our employees and owners spent on the matter. You further agree that in any dispute that is resolved, these amounts will be added to the original amount of the order, and that this total amount will then be immediately due and payable. Charges for a credit card chargeback are 10% of the balance or £50 (whichever is the greatest).
Wrongfully and fraudulently disputed charges
In all cases where the chargeback is clearly fraudulent and with ill intent, XChange also has the option of filing a report with the customer’s local police department.
In the event that a cheque is returned by your financial institution for whatever reason, XChange reserves the right to charge fees of 10% of the balance or £50 (whichever is the greatest).
This transaction is conditional on licensees adoption of the terms and conditions of the shrink-wrap licence agreement packaged with the software products or the electronic download. The terms and conditions of such shrink-wrap licences or electronic downloads, including, but not limited to, disclaimers of warranties and limitations of liability and remedies, supersede all other terms and conditions of this order other than the designation of the software product(s) and price(s).
